Additional Information

UniProt Q9Y3E7
Immunogen A synthetic peptide from the n-terminal of human CHMP3 (Charged multivesicular body protein 3, Vacuolar protein sorting associated protein 24, VPS24) conjugated to an immunogenic carrier protein was used as the immunogen. The antigen is homologous in rat and mouse.
Format Lyophilized
Description FUNCTION: Component of the ESCRT-III complex, which is required for multivesicular bodies (MVBs) formation and sorting of endosomal cargo proteins into MVBs. The MVB pathway mediates delivery oftransmembrane proteins into the lumen of the lysosome for degradation. The ESCRT-III complex is probably involved in the concentration of MVB cargo. Required for sorting/trafficking of EGF receptor. In case of infection, the HIV-1 virus takes advantage of the ESCRT-III complex for budding and exocytic cargos of viral proteins. SUBCELLULAR LOCATION: Cytoplasm, cytosol. Membrane; Lipid-anchor. TISSUE SPECIFICITY: Widely expressed. Expressed in heart, brain, placenta, lung, liver, skeletal muscle, kidney and pancreas. Also known as: Chromatin-modifying protein 3, Vacuolar protein-sorting-associated protein 24, hVps24, Neuroendocrine differentiation factor, Charged multivesicular body protein 3, VPS24, NEDF.
Specificity Appears to be specific for CHMP3.

Application Details

Application Notes IHC, WB. A dilution of 1 : 300 to 1 : 2000 is recommended. The optimal dilution should be determined by the end user. Not tested in other applications.
Purity whole serum
Storage Maintain the lyophilised/reconstituted antibodies frozen at -20°C for long term storage and refrigerated at 2-8°C for a shorter term. When reconstituting, glycerol (1:1) may be added for an additional stability. Avoid freeze and thaw cycles.
Restrictions For Research Use only
