Immunogen A synthetic peptide to n-terminal region of human VGluT3 (Vesicular glutamate transporter 3) conjugated to an immunogenic carrier protein was used as the antigen.
Specificity Specific for VGLUT3.
Purity whole serum
Alternative Name CHMP3 (Charged multivesicular body protein 3, VPS24)
Background Function: Component of the ESCRT-III complex, which is required for multivesicular bodies (MVBs) formation and sorting of endosomal cargo proteins into MVBs. The MVB pathway mediates delivery oftransmembrane proteins into the lumen of the lysosome for degradation. The ESCRT-III complex is probably involved in the concentration of MVB cargo. Required for sorting/trafficking of EGF receptor. In case of infection, the HIV-1 virus takes advantage of the ESCRT-III complex for budding and exocytic cargos of viral proteins.
Subcellular location: Cytoplasm, cytosol. Membrane, Lipid-anchor.
Tissue specificity: Widely expressed. Expressed in heart, brain, placenta, lung, liver, skeletal muscle, kidney and pancreas. Also known as: Chromatin-modifying protein 3, Vacuolar protein-sorting-associated protein 24, hVps24, Neuroendocrine differentiation factor, Charged multivesicular body protein 3, VPS24, NEDF.
UniProt Q7TSF2
Application Notes A dilution of 1 : 300 to 1 : 2000 is recommended.
The optimal dilution should be determined by the end user.
Not tested in other applications.
Restrictions For Research Use only
Format Lyophilized
Reconstitution Reconstitute in 100 µL of sterile water. Centrifuge to remove any insoluble material.
Handling Advice Avoid freeze and thaw cycles.
Storage -20 °C
Storage Comment Maintain the lyophilised/reconstituted antibodies frozen at -20 °C for long term storage and refrigerated at 2-8 °C for a shorter term. When reconstituting, glycerol (1:1) may be added for an additional stability.
Expiry Date 12 months
