Immunogen A synthetic peptide from aa region 600-650 of rat CNGA2 conjugated to blue carrier protein was used as the antigen. The peptide is homologous in mouse and human.

Background Function: Odorant signal transduction is probably mediated by a G-protein coupled cascade using cAMP as second messenger. Theolfactory channel can be shown to be activated by cyclic nucleotides which leads to a depolarization ofolfactory sensory neurons. Subunit structure: Heterooligomer of OCNC1 and OCNC2 subunits.

Application Notes A dilution of 1 : 300 to 1 : 2000 is recommended.
The optimal dilution should be determined by the end user.

Reconstitution Reconstitute in 100 µL of sterile water. Centrifuge to remove any insoluble material.
