Additional Information
| Alternative name | Cofilin-1 (Cofilin, non-muscle isoform) |
| UniProt | P23528 |
| Immunogen | A synthetic peptide from the internal part of human Cofilin-1 (Cofilin, non-muscle isoform) conjugated to an immunogenic carrier protein was used as the immunogen. The antigen is homologous in rat, mouse. |
| Format | Lyophilized |
| Isotype | IgG |
| Description | FUNCTION: Controls reversibly actin polymerization and depolymerization in a pH-sensitive manner. It has the ability to bind G- and F-actin in a 1:1 ratio of cofilin to actin. It is the major component of intranuclear and cytoplasmic actin rods. SUBCELLULAR LOCATION: Nucleus matrix. Cytoplasm, cytoskeleton. Note: Almost completely in nucleus in cells exposed to heat shock or 10% dimethyl sulfoxide. TISSUE SPECIFICITY: Widely distributed in various tissues. Also known as: Cofilin, non-muscle isoform. |
| Specificity | Appears to be specific for Cofilin-1. |

Application Details
| Application Notes | IHC, WB. A concentration of 10-50 µg/ml is recommended. The optimal concentration should be determined by the end user. Not tested in other applications. |
| Purity | IgG |
| Storage | Maintain the lyophilised/reconstituted antibodies frozen at -20°C for long term storage and refrigerated at 2-8°C for a shorter term. When reconstituting, glycerol (1:1) may be added for an additional stability. Avoid freeze and thaw cycles. |
