Immunogen A synthetic peptide from the phospho Y140 & S156 of human Cofilin-1 (Cofilin, non-muscle isoform) conjugated to an immunogenic carrier protein was used as the antigen.
Specificity Specific for Cofilin-1.
Purification Whole serum
Alternative Name Cofilin 1 (CFL1 Antibody Abstract)
Background Function: Controls reversibly actin polymerization and depolymerization in a pH-sensitive manner. It has the ability to bind G- and F-actin in a 1:1 ratio of cofilin to actin. It is the major component of intranuclear and cytoplasmic actin rods.
Subcellular location: Nucleus matrix. Cytoplasm, cytoskeleton. Note: Almost completely in nucleus in cells exposed to heat shock or 10% dimethyl sulfoxide.
Tissue specificity: Widely distributed in various tissues. Also known as: Cofilin, non-muscle isoform.

Application Notes A dilution of 1 : 300 to 1 : 2000 is recommended.
The optimal dilution should be determined by the end user. This antibody may also recognice the unphosphorylated form. Not tested in other applications.

Reconstitution Reconstitute in 100 µL of sterile water. Centrifuge to remove any insoluble material.
Handling Advice Avoid freeze and thaw cycles.

Storage Comment Maintain the lyophilised/reconstituted antibodies frozen at -20°C for long term storage and refrigerated at 2-8°C for a shorter term. When reconstituting, glycerol (1:1) may be added for an additional stability. Avoid freeze and thaw cycles.
