|Immunogen||A synthetic peptide from the phospho Y140 & S156 of human Cofilin-1 (Cofilin, non-muscle isoform) conjugated to an immunogenic carrier protein was used as the immunogen. The antigen is homologous in rat, mouse and monkey.|
|Description||FUNCTION: Controls reversibly actin polymerization and depolymerization in a pH-sensitive manner. It has the ability to bind G- and F-actin in a 1:1 ratio of cofilin to actin. It is the major component of intranuclear and cytoplasmic actin rods. SUBCELLULAR LOCATION: Nucleus matrix. Cytoplasm, cytoskeleton. Note: Almost completely in nucleus in cells exposed to heat shock or 10% dimethyl sulfoxide. TISSUE SPECIFICITY: Widely distributed in various tissues. Also known as: Cofilin, non-muscle isoform.|

|Application Notes||IHC, WB. A dilution of 1 : 300 to 1 : 2000 is recommended. The optimal dilution should be determined by the end user. This antibody may also recognice the unphosphorylated form. Not tested in other applications.|
|Storage||Maintain the lyophilised/reconstituted antibodies frozen at -20°C for long term storage and refrigerated at 2-8°C for a shorter term. When reconstituting, glycerol (1:1) may be added for an additional stability. Avoid freeze and thaw cycles.|
