Additional Information

Alternative name COPD (Archain, ARCN1, Coatomer subunit delta, Delta-coat protein, Delta-COP) (internal part)
Swiss-Prot P48444
Immunogen A synthetic peptide from the internal part of human, rat, mouse, xenopus and bovine COPD (Archain, ARCN1, Coatomer subunit delta, Delta-coat protein, Delta-COP) conjugated to an immunogenic carrier protein was used as the immunogen.
Format Lyophilized
Description FUNCTION: The coatomer is a cytosolic protein complex that binds to dilysine motifs and reversibly associates with Golgi non-clathrin-coated vesicles, which further mediate biosynthetic protein transport from the ER, via the Golgi up to the trans Golgi network. Coatomer complex is required for budding from Golgi membranes, and is essential for the retrograde Golgi-to-ER transport of dilysine-tagged proteins. In mammals, the coatomer can only be recruited by membranes associated to ADP-ribosylation factors (ARFs), which are small GTP-binding proteins; the complex also influences the Golgi structural integrity, as well as the processing, activity, and endocytic recycling of LDL receptors. SUBCELLULAR LOCATION: Cytoplasm.  Golgi apparatus membrane; Peripheral membrane protein; Cytoplasmic side. Cytoplasmic vesicle, COPI-coated vesicle membrane; Peripheral membrane protein; Cytoplasmic side. Note: The coatomer is cytoplasmic or polymerized on the cytoplasmic side of the Golgi, as well as on the vesicles/buds originating from it. Also known as: Archain, ARCN1, Coatomer subunit delta, Delta-coat protein, Delta-COP.
Specificity Appears to be specific for COPD.

Application Details

Application Notes IHC, WB. A dilution of 1 : 300 to 1 : 4000 is recommended. The optimal dilution should be determined by the end user.
Purity whole serum
Storage Maintain the lyophilised/reconstituted antibodies frozen at -20°C for long term storage and refrigerated at 2-8°C for a shorter term. When reconstituting, glycerol (1:1) may be added for an additional stability. Avoid freeze and thaw cycles.
Restrictions For Research Use only
