Additional Information

Alternative name CREM (cAMP-responsive element modulator, Inducible cAMP early repressor, ICER) (phospho S271S274)
Swiss-Prot Q03060
Immunogen A synthetic peptide to phospho S271 & S274 of human CREM (cAMP-responsive element modulator, Inducible cAMP early repressor, ICER) conjugated to an immunogenic carrier protein was used as the immunogen. The peptide is homologous in rat, mouse and dog.
Format Lyophilized
Description FUNCTION: Transcriptional regulator that binds the cAMP response element (CRE), a sequence present in many viral and cellular promoters. Isoforms are either transcriptional activators or repressors. Plays a role in spermatogenesis and is involved in spermatid maturation. SUBUNIT: Binds DNA as a dimer. Interacts with FHL5. SUBCELLULAR LOCATION: Nucleus. TISSUE SPECIFICITY: Expressed in testes (round spermatids) (at protein level). Isoform 14 is the major activator form in testes. Also known as: cAMP-responsive element modulator, Inducible cAMP early repressor, ICER.
Specificity Appears to be specific for CREM.

Application Details

Application Notes IHC, WB. A dilution of 1: 300 to 1: 2000 is recommended. The optimal dilution should be determined by the end user. Not tested in other applications. This antibody may also recognise the unphosphorylated form.
Purity whole serum
Storage Maintain the lyophilised/reconstituted antibodies frozen at -20°C for long term storage and refrigerated at 2-8°C for a shorter term. When reconstituting, glycerol (1:1) may be added for an additional stability. Avoid freeze and thaw cycles.
Restrictions For Research Use only
