Immunogen A synthetic peptide from the phosphorylated sites of human T514 & S518 of CRMP2 conjugated to an immunogenic carrier protein was used as the antigen. The peptide is homologous in rat, mouse and chicken.

Background Function: Necessary for signaling by class 3 semaphorins and subsequent remodeling of the cytoskeleton. Plays a role in axon guidance, neuronal growth cone collapse and cell migration.
Subunit: Homotetramer, and heterotetramer with CRMP1, DPYSL3, DPYSL4 or DPYSL5. Interacts through its C-terminus with the C-terminus of CYFIP1/SRA1. Interacts with HTR4.
Subcellular location: Cytoplasm.
Tissue specificity: Ubiquitous. Also known as: Dihydropyrimidinase-related protein 2, DRP-2, Collapsin response mediator protein 2, N2A3, DPYSL2, CRMP2.

Application Notes A dilution of 1 : 300 to 1 : 2000 is recommended.
The optimal dilution should be determined by the end user. This antibody recognises mainly phospho T514 & S518 of CRMP-2 (but also it is quite likely to recognise the unphosphorylated form).
