| Immunogen | A synthetic peptide from the internal region of human CTRP5 (Complement C1q tumor necrosis factor-related protein 5, C1QTNF5) conjugated to an immunogenic carrier protein was used as the immunogen. The antigen is homologous in rat and mouse. |
| Format | Lyophilized |
| Isotype | IgG |
| Description | Defects in C1QTNF5 are a cause of late-onset retinal degeneration (LORD). LORD is an autosomal dominant disorder characterized by onset in the fifth to sixth decade with night blindness and punctate yellow-white deposits in the retinal fundus, progressing to severe central and peripheral degeneration, with choroidal neovascularization and chorioretinal atrophy. Subcellular location: Secreted Also known as: Complement C1q tumor necrosis factor-related protein 5, C1QTNF5. |
| Specificity | Appears to be specific for CTRP5. |
Application Details
| Application Notes | IHC, WB. A concentration of 10-50 µg/ml is recommended. The optimal concentration should be determined by the end user. Not yet tested in other applications. |
| Purity | IgG |
| Storage | Maintain the lyophilised/reconstituted antibodies frozen at -20°C for long term storage and refrigerated at 2-8°C for a shorter term. When reconstituting, glycerol (1:1) may be added for an additional stability. Avoid freeze and thaw cycles. |
