Additional Information

Alternative name DRAM (Damage-regulatedautophagy modulator) (internal region)
Swiss-Prot Q8N682
Immunogen A synthetic peptide from the internal part of human DRAM (Damage-regulated autophagy modulator) conjugated to an immunogenic carrier protein has been used as the immunogen. The antigen shares 85% identity with mouse's and rat's.
Format Lyophilized
Description This gene is regulated as part of the p53 tumor suppressor pathway. The gene encodes a lysosomal membrane protein that is required for the induction ofautophagy by the pathway. Decreased transcriptional expression of this gene is associated with various tumors. This gene has a pseudogene on chromosome 4. FUNCTION: Lysosomal modulator ofautophagy that plays a central role in p53/TP53-mediated apoptosis. Not involved in p73/TP73-mediatedautophagy. SUBCELLULAR LOCATION: Lysosome membrane; Multi-pass membrane protein. INDUCTION: By p53/TP53 and p73/TP73. Directly activated by p53/TP53. Significantly down-regulated in tumor cell lines by methylation-dependent transcriptional silencing. Also known as: Damage-regulatedautophagy modulator, FLJ11259.
Specificity Appears to be specific for DRAM.

Application Details

Application Notes IHC, WB. Use at a dilution of 1 : 200 to 1 : 2000. The optimal dilution should be determined by the end user. Not yet tested in other applications.
Purity whole serum
Storage Maintain the lyophilised/reconstituted antibodies frozen at -20°C for long term storage and refrigerated at 2-8°C for a shorter term. When reconstituting, glycerol (1:1) may be added for an additional stability. Avoid freeze and thaw cycles.
