A synthetic peptide from c-terminal region of mouse EAAT1 conjugated to blue carrier protein was used as the antigen. The antigen is homologous in rat.

Application Notes
IHC, WB. A concentration of 10-50 μg,ml is recommended. The optimal concentration should be determined by the end user. Not yet tested in other applications.
Restrictions
For Research Use only
Format
Lyophilized
Reconstitution
Reconstitute in 500 μL of sterile water. Centrifuge to remove any insoluble material.
Handling Advice
Avoid freeze and thaw cycles.

Target
SLC1A3
(Solute Carrier Family 1 (Glial High Affinity Glutamate Transporter), Member 3 (SLC1A3))
FUNCTION: Transports L-glutamate and also L- and D-aspartate. Essential for terminating the postsynaptic action of glutamate by rapidly removing released glutamate from the synaptic cleft. Acts as a symport by cotransporting sodium. Defects in SLC1A3 are the cause of episodic ataxia type 6 (EA6). EA6 is characterized by episodic ataxia, seizures, migraine and alternating hemiplegia. SUBCELLULAR LOCATION: Membrane, Multi-pass membrane protein. TISSUE SPECIFICITY: Highly expressed in cerebellum, but also found in frontal cortex, hippocampus and basal ganglia.,SLC1 Family,Sodium-dependent glutamate/aspartate transporter 1, GLAST-1, Solute carrier family 1 member 3, SLC1A3, EAAT1, GLAST, GLAST1
