Immunogen
A synthetic peptide from the internal part of human GBB1 (Transducin beta chain 1, GNB1, Guanine nucleotide binding protein subunit beta-1) conjugated to an immunogenic carrier protein was used as the immunogen. The peptide is homologous in many species including rat, mouse, zebra fish and xenopus.

Description
FUNCTION: Guanine nucleotide-binding proteins (G proteins) are involved as a modulator or transducer in varioustransmembrane signaling systems. The beta and gamma chains are required for the GTPase activity, for replacement of GDP by GTP, and for G protein-effector interaction. SUBUNIT: G proteins are composed of 3 units, alpha, beta and gamma. Interacts with ARHGEF18. Also known as: Transducin beta chain 1, GNB1, Guanine nucleotide binding protein subunit beta-1.
Specificity
Appears to be specific for GBB1.
Application Notes
IHC, WB. A dilution of 1: 300 to 1: 2000 is recommended. The optimal dilution should be determined by the end user. Not yet tested in other applications.

Storage
Maintain the lyophilised/reconstituted antibodies frozen at -20°C for long term storage and refrigerated at 2-8°C for a shorter term. When reconstituting, glycerol (1:1) may be added for an additional stability. Avoid freeze and thaw cycles.
