Additional Information
| Alternative name | GBB3 (Transducin beta chain 3, GNB3, Guanine nucleotide binding protein subunit beta-3) (n-terminal part) |
| Swiss-Prot | P16520 |
| Immunogen | A synthetic peptide from the n-terminal of human GBB3 (Transducin beta chain 3, GNB3, Guanine nucleotide binding protein subunit beta-3) conjugated to an immunogenic carrier protein was used as the immunogen. The peptide is homologous in rat and mouse. |
| Format | Lyophilized |
| Description | FUNCTION: Guanine nucleotide-binding proteins (G proteins) are involved as a modulator or transducer in varioustransmembrane signaling systems. The beta and gamma chains are required for the GTPase activity, for replacement of GDP by GTP, and for G protein-effector interaction. SUBUNIT: G proteins are composed of 3 units, alpha, beta and gamma. Also known as: Transducin beta chain 3, GNB3, Guanine nucleotide binding protein subunit beta-3. |
| Specificity | Appears to be specific for GBB3. |
Application Details
| Application Notes | IHC, WB. A dilution of 1: 300 to 1: 5000 is recommended. The optimal dilution should be determined by the end user. |
| Purity | whole serum |
| Storage | Maintain the lyophilised/reconstituted antibodies frozen at -20°C for long term storage and refrigerated at 2-8°C for a shorter term. When reconstituting, glycerol (1:1) may be added for an additional stability. Avoid freeze and thaw cycles. |
