Additional Information

Alternative name GBLP (RACK1) (internal region)
Swiss-Prot P63244
Immunogen A synthetic peptide from the internal region of human GBLP (RACK1, GNB2L1, Receptor for activated C kinase) conjugated to an immunogenic carrier protein was used as the immunogen. The peptide is homologous in many species including rat, mouse and xenopus.
Format Lyophilized
Description Function: Seems to bind protein kinase C acting as an intracellular receptor to anchor the activated PKC to the cytoskeleton. May be involved in up-regulation of the activity of kinases such as PKC via binding to KRT1. Together with KRT1 and ITGB1, serves as a platform for SRC activation or inactivation. May play an important role in the developing brain and neuronal differentiation. Subcellular location: Cell membrane. Note: Located on plasma membrane of neuroblastoma NMB7 cells. Also known as: Guanine nucleotide-binding protein subunit beta-like protein 12.3, Receptor of activated protein kinase C 1, RACK1, Receptor for activated C kinase, Guanine nucleotide-binding protein subunit beta-2-like 1, GNB2L1.
Specificity Appears to be specific for GBLP.
Synonyms H12.3, HLC-7, PIG21, RACK1, Gnb2-rs1, p205, Rack1, GB-like, AL033335, rack1, wu:fb80d08, wu:fk65d12, i173, DmelCG7111, CG7111, GB11076, h12.3, hlc-7, pig21, MGC89209, gnb2-rs1, rack, dyak_GLEANR_2121, DyakGE18331, GE18331, LOC100136700, RACK, gnb2l1

Application Details

Application Notes IHC, WB. A dilution of 1: 300 to 1: 2000 is recommended. The optimal dilution should be determined by the end user. Not yet tested in other applications.
Purity whole serum
Storage Maintain the lyophilised/reconstituted antibodies frozen at -20°C for long term storage and refrigerated at 2-8°C for a shorter term. When reconstituting, glycerol (1:1) may be added for an additional stability. Avoid freeze and thaw cycles.
Restrictions For Research Use only
