Additional Information

Alternative name GGA1 (Golgi-localized, gamma ear-containing, ARF-binding protein 1) (GAT domain)
Swiss-Prot Q9UJY5
Immunogen A synthetic peptide from the GAT domain of human GGA1 (Golgi-localized, gamma ear-containing, ARF-binding protein 1) conjugated to an immunogenic carrier protein was used as the immunogen. The antigen is homologous in many other species including rat, mouse, xenopus, zebrafish.
Format Lyophilized
Description FUNCTION: Plays a role in protein sorting and trafficking between the trans-Golgi network (TGN) and endosomes. Mediates the ARF-dependent recruitment of clathrin to the TGN and binds ubiquitinated proteins and membrane cargo molecules with a cytosolic acidic cluster-dileucine (AC-LL) motif. SUBCELLULAR LOCATION: Golgi apparatus, trans-Golgi network membrane; Peripheral membrane protein. Endosome membrane; Peripheral membrane protein. TISSUE SPECIFICITY: Ubiquitously expressed. Also known as: ADP-ribosylation factor-binding protein GGA1; Golgi-localized, gamma ear-containing, ARF-binding protein 1; Gamma-adaptin-related protein 1.
Specificity Appears to be specific for GGA1.

Application Details

Application Notes IHC, WB. A dilution of 1 : 300 to 1 : 2000 is recommended. The optimal dilution should be determined by the end user. Not tested in other applications.
Purity whole serum
Storage Maintain the lyophilised/reconstituted antibodies frozen at -20°C for long term storage and refrigerated at 2-8°C for a shorter term. When reconstituting, glycerol (1:1) may be added for an additional stability. Avoid freeze and thaw cycles.
Restrictions For Research Use only
