Additional Information

Alternative name Glutathione peroxidase 3 (GSHPx-3, GPX3, GPXP) (n-terminal)
Swiss-Prot P22352
Immunogen A synthetic peptide from the n-terminal of human Glutathione peroxidase 3 (GSHPx-3, GPX3, GPXP) conjugated to an immunogenic carrier protein was used as the immunogen. The peptide is homologous in many species including rat and mouse.
Format Lyophilized
Description Function: Protects cells and enzymes from oxidative damage, by catalyzing the reduction of hydrogen peroxide, lipid peroxides and organic hydroperoxide, by glutathione. Catalytic activity: 2 glutathione + H(2)O(2) = glutathione disulfide + 2 H(2)O. Subcellular location: Secreted. Also known as: GPx-P, Glutathione peroxidase 3, GSHPx-3, GPX3, GPXP, GSHPx-P, GPx-3.
Specificity Appears to be specific for GSHPx-3.

Application Details

Application Notes IHC, WB. A dilution of 1: 300 to 1: 2000 is recommended. The optimal dilution should be determined by the end user. Not yet tested in other applications.
Purity whole serum
Storage Maintain the lyophilised/reconstituted antibodies frozen at -20°C for long term storage and refrigerated at 2-8°C for a shorter term. When reconstituting, glycerol (1:1) may be added for an additional stability. Avoid freeze and thaw cycles.
Restrictions For Research Use only
