Additional Information

Alternative name Histatin 1 (Histatin-1) (internal region)
Swiss-Prot P15515
Immunogen A synthetic peptide from internal region of human Histatin-1 conjugated to an immunogenic carrier protein has been used as the immunogen.
Format Lyophilized
Description FUNCTION: Histatins are salivary proteins that are considered to be major precursors of the protective proteinaceous structure on tooth surfaces (enamel pellicle). In addition, histatins exhibit antibacterial and antifungal activities. Tissue specificity: Submandibular and parotid glands. Also known as: Histatin-1, Histidine-rich protein 1, HTN1, HIS1.
Specificity Appears to be specific for Histatin-1.

Application Details

Application Notes IHC, WB. Use at a dilution of 1:100 to 1: 2000. The optimal dilution should be determined by the end user. Not yet tested in other applications.
Purity whole serum
Storage Maintain the lyophilised/reconstituted antibodies frozen at -20°C for long term storage and refrigerated at 2-8°C for a shorter term. When reconstituting, glycerol (1:1) may be added for an additional stability. Avoid freeze and thaw cycles.
Restrictions For Research Use only
