Immunogen A synthetic peptide from internal region of human Histone deacetylase 1 (HDAC1, RPD3L1) conjugated to an immunogenic carrier protein was used as the immunogen. The antigen is homologous in rat and moue.
Specificity Specific for HDAC1.
Purification Whole serum
Alternative Name HDAC1 (HDAC1 Antibody Abstract)
Background Function: Responsible for the deacetylation of lysine residues on the N-terminal part of the core histones (H2A, H2B, H3 and H4). Histone deacetylation gives a tag for epigenetic repression and plays an important role in transcriptional regulation, cell cycle progression and developmental events. Histone deacetylases act via the formation of large multiprotein complexes.
Catalytic activity: Hydrolysis of an N6-acetyl-lysine residue of a histone to yield a deacetylated histone.
Subcellular location: Nucleus.
Tissue specificity: Ubiquitous, with higher levels in heart, pancreas and testis, and lower levels in kidney and brain. Also known as: HDAC1, RPD3L1.
Research Area Cardiovascular, Hypertrophy, Wnt, DNA/RNA, Transcription Factors
Pathways Neurotrophin Signaling Pathway
Application Notes A dilution of 1 : 300 to 1 : 3000 is recommended.
The optimal dilution should be determined by the end user.
Restrictions For Research Use only
Format Lyophilized
Reconstitution Reconstitute in 100 µL of sterile water. Centrifuge to remove any insoluble material.
Handling Advice Avoid freeze and thaw cycles.
Storage 4 °C/-20 °C
Storage Comment Maintain the lyophilised/reconstituted antibodies frozen at -20°C for long term storage and refrigerated at 2-8°C for a shorter term. When reconstituting, glycerol (1:1) may be added for an additional stability. Avoid freeze and thaw cycles.
Expiry Date 12 months
