Additional Information

Alternative name Histone deacetylase 1 (HDAC1, RPD3L1)
UniProt Q13547
Immunogen A synthetic peptide from internal part of human Histone deacetylase 1 (HDAC1, RPD3L1) conjugated to an immunogenic carrier protein was used as the immunogen. The antigen is homologous in rat and moue.
Format Lyophilized
Description FUNCTION: Responsible for the deacetylation of lysine residues on the N-terminal part of the core histones (H2A, H2B, H3 and H4). Histone deacetylation gives a tag for epigenetic repression and plays an important role in transcriptional regulation, cell cycle progression and developmental events. Histone deacetylases act via the formation of large multiprotein complexes. CATALYTIC ACTIVITY: Hydrolysis of an N6-acetyl-lysine residue of a histone to yield a deacetylated histone. SUBCELLULAR LOCATION: Nucleus. TISSUE SPECIFICITY: Ubiquitous, with higher levels in heart, pancreas and testis, and lower levels in kidney and brain. Also known as: HDAC1, RPD3L1.
Specificity Appears to be specific for HDAC1.

Application Details

Application Notes IHC, WB. A dilution of 1 : 300 to 1 : 3000 is recommended. The optimal dilution should be determined by the end user.
Purity whole serum
Storage Maintain the lyophilised/reconstituted antibodies frozen at -20°C for long term storage and refrigerated at 2-8°C for a shorter term. When reconstituting, glycerol (1:1) may be added for an additional stability. Avoid freeze and thaw cycles.
