Description FUNCTION: Pore-forming (alpha) subunit of voltage-gated inwardly rectifying potassium channel. Channel properties are modulated by cAMP and subunit assembly. Mediates the rapidly activating component of the delayed rectifying potassium current in heart (IKr). Subcellular location: Membrane, Multi-pass membrane protein. Tissue specificity: Isoform 1 is expressed in heart, brain and testis and at low levels in lung. Isoform 3 is expressed predominantly in heart. The expression of isoform 2 is low in all tissues tested. Also known as: Potassium voltage-gated channel subfamily H member 2, Voltage-gated potassium channel subunit Kv11.1, Ether-a-go-go-related gene potassium channel 1, H-ERG, Erg1, Ether-a-go-go-related protein 1, Eag-related protein 1, eag homolog, ERG, ERG1, HERG, HERG1.
Specificity Appears to be specific for KCNH2.

Application Details

Application Notes IHC, WB. A dilution of 1 : 300 to 1 : 2000 is recommended. The optimal dilution should be determined by the end user. Not yet tested in other applications.
Purity whole serum
Storage Maintain the lyophilised/reconstituted antibodies frozen at -20°C for long term storage and refrigerated at 2-8°C for a shorter term. When reconstituting, glycerol (1:1) may be added for an additional stability. Avoid freeze and thaw cycles.
