Immunogen A synthetic peptide from aa region 250-300 of human KCNK3 conjugated to blue carrier protein was used as the antigen. The peptide is homologous in rat and mouse.
Specificity Specific for KCNK3.

Background Function: pH-dependent, voltage-insensitive, background potassium channel protein. Rectification direction results from potassium ion concentration on either side of the membrane. Acts as an outward rectifier when external potassium concentration is low. When external potassium concentration is high, current is inward.
Tissue specificity: Widespread expression in adult. Strongest expression in pancreas and placenta. Lower expression in brain, lung, prostate, heart, kidney, uterus, small intestine and colon.
Subcellular location: Membrane, Multi-pass membrane protein. Also known as: Potassium channel subfamily K member 3, Acid-sensitive potassium channel protein TASK-1, TWIK-related acid-sensitive K(+) channel 1, Two pore potassium channel KT3.1, TASK, TASK1.

Application Notes A dilution of 1 : 300 to 1 : 2000 is recommended.
The optimal dilution should be determined by the end user.

Reconstitution Reconstitute in 100 µL of sterile water. Centrifuge to remove any insoluble material.
Handling Advice Avoid freeze and thaw cycles.

Storage Comment Maintain the lyophilised/reconstituted antibodies frozen at -20°C for long term storage and refrigerated at 2-8°C for a shorter term. When reconstituting, glycerol (1:1) may be added for an additional stability. Avoid freeze and thaw cycles.
