Additional Information
| Alternative name | KCNT2 (SLICK) (4th cytoplasmic domain) |
| Swiss-Prot | Q6UVM3 |
| Immunogen | A synthetic peptide from the 4th cytoplasmic domain of Potassium channel subfamily T member 2 (KCNT2, SLICK) conjugated to an immunogenic carrier protein was used as the immunogen. The antigen is homologous in rat and mouse. |
| Format | Lyophilized |
| Description | FUCNTION: Outward rectifying potassium channel. Produces rapidly activating outward rectifier K(+) currents. Activated by high intracellular sodium and chloride levels. Channel activity is inhibited by ATP and by inhalation anesthetics, such as isoflurane. Inhibited upon stimulation of G-protein coupled receptors, such as CHRM1 and GRIA1. Subcellular location: Cell membrane; Multi-pass membrane protein Also known as: Potassium channel subfamily T member 2, SLICK, Sequence like an intermediate conductance potassium channel subunit, Sodium and chloride-activated ATP-sensitive potassium channel Slo2.1. |
| Specificity | Appears to be specific for KCNT2. |
Application Details
| Application Notes | IHC, WB. A dilution of 1 : 300 to 1 : 2000 is recommended. The optimal dilution should be determined by the end user. Not yet tested in other applications. |
| Purity | whole serum |
| Storage | Maintain the lyophilised/reconstituted antibodies frozen at -20°C for long term storage and refrigerated at 2-8°C for a shorter term. When reconstituting, glycerol (1:1) may be added for an additional stability. Avoid freeze and thaw cycles. |
