Additional Information

Alternative name LI-cadherin (CAD17, Cadherin-17, Liver-intestine cadherin) (c-terminal)
Swiss-Prot P55281
Immunogen A synthetic peptide from the c-terminal of rat LI-cadherin (CAD17, Cadherin-17, Liver-intestine cadherin) conjugated to an immunogenic carrier protein was used as the immunogen.
Format Lyophilized
Description FUNCTION: Cadherins are calcium dependent cell adhesion proteins. They preferentially interact with themselves in a homophilic manner in connecting cells; cadherins may thus contribute to the sorting of heterogeneous cell types. LI-cadherin may have a role in the morphological organization of liver and intestine. SUBCELLULAR LOCATION: Cell membrane; Single-pass type I membrane protein. TISSUE SPECIFICITY: Liver and intestine. Also known as: CAD17, Cadherin-17, Liver-intestine cadherin.
Specificity Appears to be specific for LI-cadherin.
Synonyms UVO, CDHE, ECAD, LCAM, Arc-1, CD324, HPT1, CDH16, HPT-1, FLJ26931, MGC138218, MGC142024, E-cadherin, cdh1, dZ71B9.1, si:dz180o5.1, si:dz180o5.2, CDH1, uvo, lcam, E-Cad, XBcad, l-cam, xcdh1, cdhc-A, xb-cad, XTCAD-1, c-cadherin, cadherin-1, uvomorulin, XB-cadherin, cad17, hpt1, cdh16, hpt-1, LI-cadherin, cadherin-17

Application Details

Application Notes IHC, WB. A dilution of 1 : 300 to 1 : 2000 is recommended. The optimal dilution should be determined by the end user. Not tested in other applications.
Purity whole serum
Storage Maintain the lyophilised/reconstituted antibodies frozen at -20°C for long term storage and refrigerated at 2-8°C for a shorter term. When reconstituting, glycerol (1:1) may be added for an additional stability. Avoid freeze and thaw cycles.
Restrictions For Research Use only
