Additional Information
| Alternative name | MPRD (Cation dependent mannose-6-phosphate receptor) (internal region) |
| Swiss-Prot | P24668 |
| Immunogen | A synthetic peptide from the internal region of mouse MPRD (Cation dependent mannose-6-phosphate receptor) conjugated to an immunogenic carrier protein was used as the immunogen. The antigen is homologous in rat. |
| Format | Lyophilized |
| Description | FUNCTION: Transport of phosphorylated lysosomal enzymes from the Golgi complex and the cell surface to lysosomes. Lysosomal enzymes bearing phosphomannosyl residues bind specifically to mannose-6-phosphate receptors in the Golgi apparatus and the resulting receptor-ligand complex is transported to an acidic prelyosomal compartment where the low pH mediates the dissociation of the complex. SUBUNIT: Homodimer. Binds GGA1, GGA2 and GGA3. SUBCELLULAR LOCATION: Lysosome membrane; Single-pass type I membrane protein. Also known as: CD Man-6-P receptor, CD-MPR, 46 kDa mannose 6-phosphate receptor, MPR 46, Cation-dependent mannose-6-phosphate receptor, M6pr, 46mpr. |
| Specificity | Appears to be specific for MPRD. |
Application Details
| Application Notes | IHC, WB. A dilution of 1 : 300 to 1 : 2000 is recommended. The optimal dilution should be determined by the end user. Not yet tested in other applications. |
| Purity | whole serum |
| Storage | Maintain the lyophilised/reconstituted antibodies frozen at -20°C for long term storage and refrigerated at 2-8°C for a shorter term. When reconstituting, glycerol (1:1) may be added for an additional stability. Avoid freeze and thaw cycles. |
