Additional Information

Alternative name MPRD (Cation dependent mannose-6-phosphate receptor) (internal region)
Swiss-Prot P24668
Immunogen A synthetic peptide from the internal region of mouse MPRD (Cation dependent mannose-6-phosphate receptor) conjugated to an immunogenic carrier protein was used as the immunogen. The antigen is homologous in rat.
Format Lyophilized
Description FUNCTION: Transport of phosphorylated lysosomal enzymes from the Golgi complex and the cell surface to lysosomes. Lysosomal enzymes bearing phosphomannosyl residues bind specifically to mannose-6-phosphate receptors in the Golgi apparatus and the resulting receptor-ligand complex is transported to an acidic prelyosomal compartment where the low pH mediates the dissociation of the complex. SUBUNIT: Homodimer. Binds GGA1, GGA2 and GGA3. SUBCELLULAR LOCATION: Lysosome membrane; Single-pass type I membrane protein. Also known as: CD Man-6-P receptor, CD-MPR, 46 kDa mannose 6-phosphate receptor, MPR 46, Cation-dependent mannose-6-phosphate receptor, M6pr, 46mpr.
Specificity Appears to be specific for MPRD.

Application Details

Application Notes IHC, WB. A dilution of 1 : 300 to 1 : 2000 is recommended. The optimal dilution should be determined by the end user. Not yet tested in other applications.
Purity whole serum
Storage Maintain the lyophilised/reconstituted antibodies frozen at -20°C for long term storage and refrigerated at 2-8°C for a shorter term. When reconstituting, glycerol (1:1) may be added for an additional stability. Avoid freeze and thaw cycles.
Restrictions For Research Use only
