Background Function: This is the catalytic component of the active enzyme, which catalyzes the hydrolysis of ATP coupled with the exchange of sodium and potassium ions across the plasma membrane. This action creates the electrochemical gradient of sodium and potassium ions, providing the energy for active transport of various nutrients. Melanosome.
Catalytic activity: ATP + H2O + Na+(In) + K+(Out) = ADP + phosphate + Na+(Out) + K+(In).
Subunit: Composed of three subunits: alpha (catalytic), beta and gamma.
Subcellular location: Membrane, Multi-pass membrane protein. Also known as: AT1A1, Sodium/potassium-transporting ATPase subunit alpha-1, Sodium pump subunit alpha-1, Na(+)/K(+) ATPase alpha-1 subunit, Atp1a1.
Application Notes A dilution of 1 : 300 to 1 : 2000 is recommended.
The optimal dilution should be determined by the end user.
Not yet tested in other applications.

Reconstitution Reconstitute in 100 µL of sterile water. Centrifuge to remove any insoluble material.

Storage Comment Maintain the lyophilised/reconstituted antibodies frozen at -20°C for long term storage and refrigerated at 2-8°C for a shorter term. When reconstituting, glycerol (1:1) may be added for an additional stability. Avoid freeze and thaw cycles.
