Additional Information

Alternative name Nogo (RTN4, Neurite outgrowth inhibitor, Reticulon-4) (internal region)
Swiss-Prot Q9NQC3
Immunogen A synthetic peptide from internal region of human Nogo (RTN4, Neurite outgrowth inhibitor, Reticulon-4) conjugated to an immunogenic carrier protein was used as the immunogen.
Format Lyophilized
Description Function: Potent neurite growth inhibitor in vitro and plays a role both in the restriction of axonal regeneration after injury and in structural plasticity in the CNS. Subcellular location: Endoplasmic reticulum membrane; Multi-pass membrane protein. Note: Anchored to the membrane of the endoplasmic reticulum through 2 putativetransmembrane domains. Tissue specificity: Isoform 1 is specifically expressed in brain and testis and weakly in heart and skeletal muscle. Isoform 2 is widely expressed except for the liver. Isoform 3 is expressed in brain, skeletal muscle and adipocytes. Isoform 4 is testis-specific. Also known as: RTN4, Neurite outgrowth inhibitor, Reticulon-4, Nogo protein, Foocen, Neuroendocrine-specific protein, NSP, Neuroendocrine-specific protein C homolog, RTN-x, Reticulon-5.
Specificity Appears to be specific for Nogo.

Application Details

Application Notes IHC, WB. A dilution of 1 : 300 to 1 : 2000 is recommended. The optimal dilution should be determined by the end user. Not yet tested in other applications.
Purity whole serum
Storage Maintain the lyophilised/reconstituted antibodies frozen at -20°C for long term storage and refrigerated at 2-8°C for a shorter term. When reconstituting, glycerol (1:1) may be added for an additional stability. Avoid freeze and thaw cycles.
Restrictions For Research Use only
