Immunogen A synthetic peptide as a part of human olfactory receptor (OR2A5, OR2A14 and OR2A42) conjugated to an immunogenic carrier protein was used as the immunogen.
Specificity Specific for Arg3.1/ARC.
Purification whole serum
Alternative Name olfactory receptor (OR2A5, OR2A14 and OR2A42)
Background Olfactory receptors interact with odorant molecules in the nose, to initiate a neuronal response that triggers the perception of a smell. Theolfactory receptor proteins are members of a large family of G-protein-coupled receptors (GPCR) arising from single coding-exon genes.olfactory receptors share a 7-transmembrane domain structure with many neurotransmitter and hormone receptors and are responsible for the recognition and G protein-mediated transduction of odorant signals. Theolfactory receptor gene family is the largest in the genome.
Function: Odorant receptor
Subcellular location: Cell membrane, Multi-pass membrane protein. Also known as:olfactory receptor 2A5,olfactory receptor 7-138/7-141, OR7-138, OR7-141, OR2A26, OR2A8,olfactory receptor 2A14,olfactory receptor OR7-12, OST182, OR2A14P, OR2A6,olfactory receptor 2A42,olfactory receptor OR7-19,olfactory receptor OR7-16,OR2A1.
