Immunogen A synthetic peptide as a part of human olfactory receptor (OR4A5, OR11-111) conjugated to an immunogenic carrier protein was used as the immunogen.
Specificity Specific for Olfactory receptor OR4A5.
Purification Whole serum
Alternative Name OR4A5
Background Olfactory receptors interact with odorant molecules in the nose, to initiate a neuronal response that triggers the perception of a smell. Theolfactory receptor proteins are members of a large family of G-protein-coupled receptors (GPCR) arising from single coding-exon genes.olfactory receptors share a 7-transmembrane domain structure with many neurotransmitter and hormone receptors and are responsible for the recognition and G protein-mediated transduction of odorant signals. Theolfactory receptor gene family is the largest in the genome. The nomenclature assigned to theolfactory receptor genes and proteins for this organism is independent of other organisms.
Subcellular location: Cell membrane, Multi-pass membrane protein Also known as:olfactory receptor, family 4, subfamily A, member 5, OR11-111,olfactory receptor 4A5,olfactory receptorOR11-111.
Research Area Neurology
Application Notes A dilution of 1 : 300 to 1 : 3000 is recommended.
The optimal dilution should be determined by the end user.
Restrictions For Research Use only
Format Lyophilized
Reconstitution Reconstitute in 100 µL of sterile water. Centrifuge to remove any insoluble material.
Handling Advice Avoid freeze and thaw cycles.
Storage 4 °C/-20 °C
Storage Comment Maintain the lyophilised/reconstituted antibodies frozen at -20°C for long term storage and refrigerated at 2-8°C for a shorter term. When reconstituting, glycerol (1:1) may be added for an additional stability. Avoid freeze and thaw cycles.
