Immunogen A synthetic peptide from the internal region of mouse Orexin Receptor 1 (OX1R) conjugated to an immunogenic carrier protein was used as the immunogen. The antigen is homologous in rat.
Specificity Appears to be specific for Orexin Receptor 1.

Background Function: Moderately selective excitatory receptor for orexin-A and, with a lower affinity, for orexin-B neuropeptide. Seems to be exclusively coupled to the G(q) subclass of heteromeric G proteins, which activates the phospholipase C mediated signaling cascade.
Subcellular location: Cell membrane, Multi-pass membrane protein. Also known as: Orexin receptor type 1, OX1R, Hypocretin receptor type 1.

Application Notes IHC, WB. A dilution of 1: 300 to 1: 2000 is recommended. The optimal dilution should be determined by the end user. Not yet tested in other applications.
