Additional Information

Alternative name Orexin Receptor 1 (OX1R)
UniProt O43613
Immunogen A synthetic peptide from the n-terminal region of human Orexin Receptor 1 (OX1R) conjugated to an immunogenic carrier protein was used as the immunogen.
Format Lyophilized
Description FUNCTION: Moderately selective excitatory receptor for orexin-A and, with a lower affinity, for orexin-B neuropeptide. Seems to be exclusively coupled to the G(q) subclass of heteromeric G proteins, which activates the phospholipase C mediated signaling cascade. Subcellular location: Cell membrane; Multi-pass membrane protein. Also known as: Orexin receptor type 1, OX1R, Hypocretin receptor type 1.
Specificity Appears to be specific for Orexin Receptor 1.

Application Details

Application Notes IHC, WB. A dilution of 1: 300 to 1: 2000 is recommended. The optimal dilution should be determined by the end user. Not yet tested in other applications.
Purity whole serum
Storage Maintain the lyophilised/reconstituted antibodies frozen at -20°C for long term storage and refrigerated at 2-8°C for a shorter term. When reconstituting, glycerol (1:1) may be added for an additional stability. Avoid freeze and thaw cycles.
Restrictions For Research Use only
