Additional Information
| Alternative name | P2X1 (P2RX1, P2X purinoceptor 1, ATP receptor) (cytoplasmic domain) |
| Swiss-Prot | P51575 |
| Immunogen | A synthetic peptide from the cytoplasmic domain of human P2X1 (P2RX1, P2X purinoceptor 1, ATP receptor) conjugated to an immunogenic carrier protein was used as the immunogen. The antigen shares 92% identity with rat and mouse sequence. |
| Format | Lyophilized |
| Description | FUNCTION: Ligand gated ion channel with relatively high calcium permeability. Binding to ATP mediates synaptic transmission between neurons and from neurons to smooth muscle. Seems to be linked to apoptosis, by increasing the intracellular concentration of calcium in the presence of ATP, leading to programmed cell death. Subcellular location: Membrane; Multi-pass membrane protein. Involvement in disease: Defects in P2RX1 are a cause of bleeding disorder Also known as: P2RX1, P2X1, P2X purinoceptor 1, ATP receptor. |
| Specificity | Appears to be specific for P2RX1. |
Application Details
| Application Notes | IHC, WB. A dilution of 1 : 300 to 1 : 2000 is recommended. The optimal dilution should be determined by the end user. Not yet tested in other applications. |
| Purity | whole serum |
| Storage | Maintain the lyophilised/reconstituted antibodies frozen at -20°C for long term storage and refrigerated at 2-8°C for a shorter term. When reconstituting, glycerol (1:1) may be added for an additional stability. Avoid freeze and thaw cycles. |
