Additional Information

Alternative name P2X7 (P2RX7, P2X purinoceptor 7, Purinergic receptor) (extracellular domain)
Swiss-Prot Q9Z1M0
Immunogen A synthetic peptide from the extracellular domain of mouse P2X7 (P2RX7, P2X purinoceptor 7, Purinergic receptor, P2Z receptor, ATP receptor) conjugated to an immunogenic carrier protein was used as the immunogen. The antigen is homologous in human and shares 95% identity with rat's.
Format Lyophilized
Description FUNCTION: Receptor for ATP that acts as a ligand gated ion channel. Responsible for ATP-dependent lysis of macrophages through the formation of membrane pores permeable to large molecules. Could function in both fast synaptic transmission and the ATP-mediated lysis of antigen-presenting cells. Subcellular location: Membrane; Multi-pass membrane protein. Also known as: P2RX7, P2X purinoceptor 7, Purinergic receptor, P2Z receptor, ATP receptor.
Specificity Appears to be specific for P2RX7.

Application Details

Application Notes IHC, WB. A dilution of 1 : 300 to 1 : 2000 is recommended. The optimal dilution should be determined by the end user. Not yet tested in other applications.
Purity whole serum
Storage Maintain the lyophilised/reconstituted antibodies frozen at -20°C for long term storage and refrigerated at 2-8°C for a shorter term. When reconstituting, glycerol (1:1) may be added for an additional stability. Avoid freeze and thaw cycles.
Restrictions For Research Use only
