Additional Information
| Alternative name | p75NTR (low affinity NGF receptor, p75, LNGFR, p75NTR) (extracellular domain) |
| UniProt | P08138 |
| Immunogen | A synthetic peptide from the extracellular domain of human p75NTR (low affinity NGF receptor, p75, LNGFR, p75NTR) conjugated to an immunogenic carrier protein was used as the immunogen. The antigen is homologous in many other species including mouse and rat. |
| Format | Lyophilized |
| Description | FUNCTION: Low affinity receptor which can bind to NGF, BDNF, NT-3, and NT-4. Can mediate cell survival as well as cell death of neural cells. SUBUNIT: Homodimer; disulfide-linked. Interacts with p75NTR-associated cell death executor. Interacts with NGFRAP1/<||a href="http://www.osenses.com/bex-family-c-21_106.html">BEX3<||/a>. Interacts with TRAF2, TRAF4, TRAF6, PTPN13 and RANBP9. Interacts through TRAF6 with <||a href="http://www.osenses.com/advanced_search_result.php?antigen=sqstm1&x=0&y=0">SQSTM1<||/a> which bridges NGFR to NTRK1. Interacts with <||a href="http://www.osenses.com/bex-family-c-21_106.html">BEX1<||/a>. Interacts with ARMS and NTRK1. Can form a ternary complex with NTRK1 and ARMS and this complex is affected by the expression levels of ARMS. An increase in ARMS expression leads to a decreased association of NGFR and NTRK1. Interacts with LINGO1. SUBCELLULAR LOCATION: Membrane; Single-pass type I membrane protein. Also known as: Low-affinity nerve growth factor receptor, NGF receptor, Gp80-LNGFR, p75 ICD, Low affinity neurotrophin receptor p75NTR, p75, LNGFR, p75NTR, RNNGFRR. |
| Specificity | Appears to be specific for p75NTR. |
Application Details
| Application Notes | IHC, WB. A dilution of 1 : 300 to 1 : 2000 is recommended. The optimal dilution should be determined by the end user. Not yet tested in other applications. |
| Purity | whole serum |
| Purification | Purified |
| Storage | Maintain the lyophilised/reconstituted antibodies frozen at -20°C for long term storage and refrigerated at 2-8°C for a shorter term. When reconstituting, glycerol (1:1) may be added for an additional stability. Avoid freeze and thaw cycles. |
