Immunogen A synthetic peptide from the human phospho S95 BNIP3 conjugated to blue carrier protein was used as the antigen.
Specificity Specific for BNIP3.
Purification Whole serum
Alternative Name BNIP3 (BNIP3 Antibody Abstract)
Background Function: Apoptosis-inducing protein that, which can overcome BCL2 suppression. May play a role in repartitioning calcium between the two major intracellular calcium stores in association with BCL2.
Subcellular location: Mitochondrion membrane, Single-pass membrane protein Potential. Note: Coexpression with the EIB 19-kDa protein results in a shift in NIP3 localization pattern to the nuclear envelope. Also known as: BCL2/adenovirus E1B 19 kDa protein-interacting protein 3, BNIP3, NIP3.
Research Area Cancer, Apoptosis/Necrosis
Application Notes A dilution of 1 : 300 to 1 : 2000 is recommended.
The optimal dilution should be determined by the end user.
Not yet tested in other applications. This antibody may also recognise the unphosphorylated form of the BNIP3.
Restrictions For Research Use only
Format Lyophilized
Reconstitution Reconstitute in 100 µL of sterile water. Centrifuge to remove any insoluble material.
Handling Advice Avoid freeze and thaw cycles.
Storage 4 °C/-20 °C
Storage Comment Maintain the lyophilised/reconstituted antibodies frozen at -20°C for long term storage and refrigerated at 2-8°C for a shorter term. When reconstituting, glycerol (1:1) may be added for an additional stability. Avoid freeze and thaw cycles.
Expiry Date 12 months
