|Description||FUNCTION: Apoptosis-inducing protein that, which can overcome BCL2 suppression. May play a role in repartitioning calcium between the two major intracellular calcium stores in association with BCL2. Subcellular location: Mitochondrion membrane; Single-pass membrane protein Potential. Note: Coexpression with the EIB 19-kDa protein results in a shift in NIP3 localization pattern to the nuclear envelope. Also known as: BCL2/adenovirus E1B 19 kDa protein-interacting protein 3, BNIP3, NIP3.|
|Specificity||Appears to be specific for BNIP3.|
|Application Notes||IHC, WB. A dilution of 1 : 300 to 1 : 2000 is recommended. The optimal dilution should be determined by the end user. Not yet tested in other applications. This antibody may also recognise the unphosphorylated form of the BNIP3.|
|Storage||Maintain the lyophilised/reconstituted antibodies frozen at -20°C for long term storage and refrigerated at 2-8°C for a shorter term. When reconstituting, glycerol (1:1) may be added for an additional stability. Avoid freeze and thaw cycles.|
