Additional Information

Alternative name Piccolo (Aczonin) (internal region)
Swiss-Prot Q9Y6V0
Immunogen A synthetic peptide from internal part of human internal part of Piccolo (Aczonin) conjugated to an immunogenic carrier protein was used as the immunogen. The antigen is homologous in rat and mouse.
Format Lyophilized
Description FUNCTION: May act as a scaffolding protein involved in the organization of synaptic active zones and in synaptic vesicle trafficking. SUBUNIT: Interacts with Rabac1/Pra1, RIMS2 and profilin. SUBCELLULAR LOCATION: Cell junction, synapse. Note: Concentrated at the presynaptic side of synaptic junctions. TISSUE SPECIFICITY: Highly expressed in brain. Moderately expresssed in pituitary gland and pancreatic islets. Low levels found in stomach. Also known as: Aczonin.
Specificity Appears to be specific for Piccolo.

Application Details

Application Notes IHC, WB. A dilution of 1 : 300 to 1 : 2000 is recommended. The optimal dilution should be determined by the end user. Not yet tested in other applications.
Purity whole serum
Storage Maintain the lyophilised/reconstituted antibodies frozen at -20°C for long term storage and refrigerated at 2-8°C for a shorter term. When reconstituting, glycerol (1:1) may be added for an additional stability. Avoid freeze and thaw cycles.
Restrictions For Research Use only
