Immunogen A synthetic peptide from the internal region of human PIM1 (Retinitis pigmentosa 9 protein) conjugated to an immunogenic carrier protein was used as the antigen.
Specificity Specific for SEPT14.
Purification Purified
Purity whole serum
Alternative Name PIM1
Background Function: Is thought to be a target protein for the PIM1 kinase. May play some roles in B-cell proliferation in association with PIM1.Nucleus
Tissue specificity: Appears to be expressed in a wide range of tissues. DISEASE: Defects in RP9 are the cause of retinitis pigmentosa type 9 (RP9). RP leads to degeneration of retinal photoreceptor cells. Patients typically have night vision blindness and loss of midperipheral visual field. As their condition progresses, they lose their far peripheral visual field and eventually central vision as well. RP9 inheritance is autosomal dominant. Also known as: Retinitis pigmentosa 9 protein, RP9, Pim-1-associated protein, PAP-1.
UniProt Q6ZU15
Application Notes A dilution of 1 : 300 to 1 : 2000 is recommended.
The optimal dilution should be determined by the end user.
Not yet tested in other applications.
Restrictions For Research Use only
Format Lyophilized
Reconstitution Reconstitute in 100 µL of sterile water. Centrifuge to remove any insoluble material.
Handling Advice Avoid freeze and thaw cycles.
Storage -20 °C
Storage Comment Maintain the lyophilised/reconstituted antibodies frozen at -20 °C for long term storage and refrigerated at 2-8 °C for a shorter term. When reconstituting, glycerol (1:1) may be added for an additional stability.
Expiry Date 12 months
