Immunogen A synthetic peptide from the 6th cytoplasmic loop of human Polycystic kidney disease protein 1-like 1 (PKD1L1, Polycystin-1L1, PK1L1) conjugated to an immunogenic carrier protein was used as the immunogen.
Specificity Specific for PK1L1.
Purification Whole serum
Alternative Name PKD1L1
Background This gene encodes a member of the polycystin protein family containing 11transmembrane domains, a receptor for egg jelly (REJ) domain, and a polycystin-1, lipoxygenase, alpha-toxin (PLAT) domain. The encoded protein may play a role in the male reproductive system. Alternative splice variants have been described but their biological nature has not been determined
Function: May have a role in the heart and in the male reproductive system.
Subcellular location: Membrane, Multi-pass membrane protein. Also known as: PKD1L1, Polycystin-1L1, PK1L1.
Research Area Signaling, Metabolism
Application Notes A dilution of 1 : 300 to 1 : 2000 is recommended.
The optimal dilution should be determined by the end user.
Not yet tested in other applications.
Restrictions For Research Use only
Format Lyophilized
Reconstitution Reconstitute in 100 µL of sterile water. Centrifuge to remove any insoluble material.
Handling Advice Avoid freeze and thaw cycles.
Storage 4 °C/-20 °C
Storage Comment Maintain the lyophilised/reconstituted antibodies frozen at -20°C for long term storage and refrigerated at 2-8°C for a shorter term. When reconstituting, glycerol (1:1) may be added for an additional stability. Avoid freeze and thaw cycles.
Expiry Date 12 months
