Additional Information

Alternative name Prolifeing cell nuclear antigen (PCNA) (c-terminal region)
Swiss-Prot P04961
Immunogen A synthetic peptide from the c-terminal region of rat Proliferating cell nuclear antigen (PCNA) conjugated to an immunogenic carrier protein was used as the immunogen. The antigen is homologous in human and rat.
Format Lyophilized
Description Function: This protein is an auxiliary protein of DNA polymerase delta and is involved in the control of eukaryotic DNA replication by increasing the polymerase's processibility during elongation of the leading strand. Involvement in disease: Antibodies are present in sera from patients with systemic lupus erythematosus. Also known as: Cyclin, DNA polymerase delta auxiliary protein, Polymerase delta accessory protein, Proliferating Cell Nuclear Antigen.
Specificity Appears to be specific for PCNA.

Application Details

Application Notes IHC, WB. A dilution of 1 : 300 to 1 : 2000 is recommended. The optimal dilution should be determined by the end user. Not yet tested in other applications.
Purity whole serum
Storage Maintain the lyophilised/reconstituted antibodies frozen at -20°C for long term storage and refrigerated at 2-8°C for a shorter term. When reconstituting, glycerol (1:1) may be added for an additional stability. Avoid freeze and thaw cycles.
Restrictions For Research Use only
