Immunogen
A synthetic peptide from the internal region of human Rho related GTP-binding protein RhoF (Rho family GTPase Rif, ARHF, RIF, Rho in filopodia) conjugated to an immunogenic carrier protein was used as the immunogen. The antigen is homologous in rat and mouse.

Description
Function: Plasma membrane-associated small GTPase which cycles between an active GTP-bound and an inactive GDP-bound state. Causes the formation of thin, actin-rich surface projections called filopodia. Functions cooperatively with CDC42 and Rac to generate additional structures, increasing the diversity of actin-based morphology. Subcellular location: Cell membrane; Lipid-anchor; Cytoplasmic sidePotential. Cytoplasm › cytoskeleton. Also known as: Rho family GTPase Rif, Rho in filopodia, ARHF, RIF, Rho in filopodia.
Specificity
Appears to be specific for RhOF.
Application Notes
IHC, WB. A dilution of 1 : 300 to 1 : 2000 is recommended. The optimal dilution should be determined by the end user. Not yet tested in other applications.

Storage
Maintain the lyophilised/reconstituted antibodies frozen at -20°C for long term storage and refrigerated at 2-8°C for a shorter term. When reconstituting, glycerol (1:1) may be added for an additional stability. Avoid freeze and thaw cycles.
