| Immunogen | A synthetic peptide from the internal region of human Rho related GTP binding protein RhoU (CDC42 like GTPase 1, CDC42L1, Ryu GTPase) conjugated to an immunogenic carrier protein was used as the immunogen. The antigen shares 90% identity with rat and mouse sequence. |
| Format | Lyophilized |
| Isotype | IgG |
| Description | Function: Acts upstream of PAK1 to regulate the actin cytoskeleton, adhesion turnover and increase cell migration. Stimulates quiescent cells to reenter the cell cycle. Has no detectable GTPase activity but its high intrinsic guanine nucleotide exchange activity suggests it is constitutively GTP-bound. Subcellular location: Cell membrane; Lipid-anchor; Cytoplasmic side. Golgi apparatus membrane; Lipid-anchor. Cell junction › focal adhesion. Cell projection › podosome. Note: Localizes to podosomes in SRC-transformed cells. Tissue specificity: Ubiquitously expressed in all tissues examined. Expressed at high levels in the stomach, small intestine, brain, skeletal muscle and placenta. Also known as: Rho related GTP binding protein RhoU, RhoU, Ryu GTPase, CDC42-like GTPase 1, Rho GTPase-like protein ARHU, GTP-binding protein-like 1, ARHU, CDC42L1, G28K, WRCH1, Wnt-1 responsive Cdc42 homolog 1. |
| Specificity | Appears to be specific for RhoU. |
Application Details
| Application Notes | IHC, WB. A concentration of 10-50 µg/ml is recommended. The optimal concentration should be determined by the end user. Not yet tested in other applications. |
| Purity | IgG |
| Storage | Maintain the lyophilised/reconstituted antibodies frozen at -20°C for long term storage and refrigerated at 2-8°C for a shorter term. When reconstituting, glycerol (1:1) may be added for an additional stability. Avoid freeze and thaw cycles. |
