Description
Cathelicidin antimicrobial protein is an antimicrobial protein found in specific granules of polymorphonuclear leukocytes. FUNCTION: Binds to bacterial lipopolysaccharides (LPS), has antibacterial activity. SUBCELLULAR LOCATION: Secreted. Also known as: CAMP, CAP18, FALL39, FALL-39, 18 kDa cationic antimicrobial protein, CAP-18,Cathelicidin-BF, LL37, CRAMP, HSD26.
Specificity
Appears to be specific for Cathelicidin antimicrobial peptide.
Application Notes
IHC, WB. A concentration of 10-50 µg/ml is recommended. The optimal concentration should be determined by the end user. Not yet tested in other applications.
