Immunogen A synthetic peptide from the n-terminal of human SNIP (SNAP 25 interacting protein) conjugated to an immunogenic carrier protein was used as the antigen. The peptide is homologous in rat and mouse.

Specificity Specific for SNIP.
Alternative Name SNIP (SRCIN1 Antibody Abstract)
Background Function: Delays the onset of cell spreading in the early stages of cell adhesion to fibronectin. Also involved in calcium-dependent exocytosis from PC12 cells.
Subunit: Interacts with the N-terminal coiled-coil region ofSNAP25. Interacts with BCAR1/p130Cas through its C-terminal domain.
Subcellular location: Cytoplasm. Cytoplasm, cytoskeleton. Note: Localized to the perinuclear region, lamellopodia, cortical actin and actin stress fibers but not to focal adhesions. Also known as: p130 Cas associated protein, p140 Cap,SNAP 25 interacting protein, P140.
Application Notes A concentration of 10-50 µg/ml is recommended.
The optimal concentration should be determined by the end user.
Not yet tested in other applications.

Reconstitution Reconstitute in 500 µL of sterile water. Centrifuge to remove any insoluble material.
Handling Advice Avoid freeze and thaw cycles.

Storage Comment Maintain the lyophilised/reconstituted antibodies frozen at -20°C for long term storage and refrigerated at 2-8°C for a shorter term. When reconstituting, glycerol (1:1) may be added for an additional stability. Avoid freeze and thaw cycles.
