Additional Information

UniProt P08294
Immunogen A synthetic peptide from the n-terminal region of human SOD3 (Superoxide dismutase 3, SODE) conjugated to an immunogenic carrier protein was used as the immunogen.
Format Lyophilized
Description Function: Protect the extracellular space from toxic effect of reactive oxygen intermediates by converting superoxide radicals into hydrogen peroxide and oxygen. Catalytic activity: 2 superoxide + 2 H(+) = O(2) + H(2)O(2). Tissue specificity: Expressed in blood vessels, heart, lungs, kidney and placenta. Major SOD isoenzyme in extracellular fluids such as plasma, lymph and synovial fluid. Subcellular location: Secreted › extracellular space. Note: 99% of EC-SOD is anchored to heparan sulfate proteoglycans in the tissue interstitium, and 1% is located in the vasculature in equilibrium between the plasma and the endothelium. Also known as: Superoxide dismutase 3, SODE, SOD E.
Specificity Appears to be specific for SOD3.

Application Details

Application Notes IHC, WB. A dilution of 1: 300 to 1: 2000 is recommended. The optimal dilution should be determined by the end user. Not yet tested in other applications.
Purity whole serum
Storage Maintain the lyophilised/reconstituted antibodies frozen at -20°C for long term storage and refrigerated at 2-8°C for a shorter term. When reconstituting, glycerol (1:1) may be added for an additional stability. Avoid freeze and thaw cycles.
