Immunogen A synthetic peptide from c-terminal of mouse Nexin-1 conjugated to an immunogenic carrier protein was used as the antigen. The peptide is homologous in rat and human.
Specificity Specific for Sorting nexin 1.

Background Function: May be involved in several stages of intracellular trafficking. Plays a role in targeting ligand-activated EGFR to the lysosomes for degradation after endocytosis from the cell surface and release from the Golgi. Component of the retromer complex, a complex required to retrieve lysosomal enzyme receptors (IGF2R and M6PR) from endosomes to the trans-Golgi network. Interacts with PtdIns(3,4,5)P3 and, with weaker affinity, with PtdIns(3,5)P2.
Subcellular location: Endosome membrane, Peripheral membrane protein, Cytoplasmic side. Golgi apparatus, trans-Golgi network membrane, Peripheral membrane protein, Cytoplasmic side. Also known as: Nexin 1, SNX1, Nexin-1.
Application Notes A dilution of 1 : 300 to 1 : 2000 is recommended.
The optimal dilution should be determined by the end user. Not tested in other applications.

Reconstitution Reconstitute in 100 µL of sterile water. Centrifuge to remove any insoluble material.

Storage Comment Maintain the lyophilised/reconstituted antibodies frozen at -20°C for long term storage and refrigerated at 2-8°C for a shorter term. When reconstituting, glycerol (1:1) may be added for an additional stability. Avoid freeze and thaw cycles.
