Additional Information

UniProt Q92783
Immunogen A synthetic peptide from the internal part of human STAM 1, 2 (STAM-1, STAM-2) conjugated to an immunogenic carrier protein was used as the immunogen. The peptide is homologous in many species including rat, mouse, zebra fish and xenopus.
Format Lyophilized
Description STAM1: FUNCTION: Involved in intracellular signal transduction mediated by cytokines and growth factors. Upon IL-2 and GM-CSL stimulation, it plays a role in signaling leading to DNA synthesis and c-myc induction. May also play a role in endocytic trafficking as well as in T-cell development. SUBUNIT: Heterodimer. Composed of STAM1 and HGS/HRS. Also interacts directly with STAMBP/AMSH. TISSUE SPECIFICITY: Ubiquitously expressed. STAM2: FUNCTION: Involved in intracellular signal transduction mediated by cytokines and growth factors. Probably acts via its association with ubiquitinated cargo proteins on the early endosome participates in their sorting for trafficking to the lysosome. Upon IL-2 and GM-CSL stimulation, it plays a role in signaling leading to DNA synthesis and c-myc induction. May also play a in T-cell development. SUBUNIT: Heterodimer or heterotrimer. At least composed of STAM2 and HGS/Hrs. EPS15 can be part of the complex. Interacts directly with STAMBP/AMSH, JAK2 and JAK3. Also interacts with ubiquitinated proteins and the deubiquitinating enzyme USP8/UBPY. Interacts directly with CBX5 via the PxVxL motif. Interacts with VPS37C. TISSUE SPECIFICITY: Ubiquitously expressed. Also known as: STAM1, STAM-1, STAM2, STAM-2, Signal transducing adapter molecule 1, Signal transducing adapter molecule 2, HBP, Hrs-binding protein.
Specificity Appears to be specific for STAM1 & 2.

Application Details

Application Notes IHC, WB. A dilution of 1: 300 to 1: 2000 is recommended. The optimal dilution should be determined by the end user.
Purity whole serum
Storage Maintain the lyophilised/reconstituted antibodies frozen at -20°C for long term storage and refrigerated at 2-8°C for a shorter term. When reconstituting, glycerol (1:1) may be added for an additional stability. Avoid freeze and thaw cycles.
