Immunogen A synthetic peptide from aa region 50-100 of extracellular domain of human STIM1 conjugated to blue carrier protein was used as the antigen. The peptide is homologous in rat and mouse.
Specificity Specific for STIM1.
Purification Whole serum
Alternative Name STIM1 (STIM1 Antibody Abstract)
Background Function: Plays a role in mediating Ca2+ influx following depletion of intracellular Ca2+ stores. Acts as Ca2+ sensor in the endoplasmic reticulum via its EF-hand domain. Upon Ca2+ depletion, translocates from the endoplasmic reticulum to the plasma membrane where it activates the Ca2+ release-activated Ca2+ (CRAC) channel subunit, TMEM142A/ORAI1.
Subcellular location: Cell membrane, Single-pass type I membrane protein. Endoplasmic reticulum membrane, Single-pass type I membrane protein. Note: Translocates from the endoplasmic reticulum to the cell membrane in response to a depletion of intracellular calcium.
Tissue specificity: Ubiquitously expressed in various human primary cells and tumor cell lines. Also known as: STIM1, GOK.
Application Notes A dilution of 1 : 300 to 1 : 2000 is recommended.
The optimal dilution should be determined by the end user. Not tested in other applications.
Restrictions For Research Use only
Format Lyophilized
Reconstitution Reconstitute in 100 µL of sterile water. Centrifuge to remove any insoluble material.
Handling Advice Avoid freeze and thaw cycles.
Storage 4 °C/-20 °C
Storage Comment Maintain the lyophilised/reconstituted antibodies frozen at -20°C for long term storage and refrigerated at 2-8°C for a shorter term. When reconstituting, glycerol (1:1) may be added for an additional stability. Avoid freeze and thaw cycles.
Expiry Date 12 months
