Additional Information
| Alternative name | Synapsin-3 (Synapsin 3, Syn3,Synapsin III) |
| Swiss-Prot | O70441 |
| Immunogen | A synthetic peptide as a part of rat, mouse Synapsin-3 (Synapsin 3, Syn3, Synapsin III) conjugated to an immunogenic carrier protein was used as the immunogen. |
| Format | Lyophilized |
| Description | FUNCTION: May be involved in the regulation of neurotransmitter release and synaptogenesis. Binds ATP with high affinity and ADP with a lower affinity. This is consistent with a catalytic role of the C-domain in which ADP would be dissociated by cellular ATP after bound ATP was hydrolyzed. SUBUNIT: Interacts with CAPON. SUBCELLULAR LOCATION: Cytoplasmic vesicle, secretory vesicle, synaptic vesicle membrane; Peripheral membrane protein; Cytoplasmic side. Note: Peripheral membrane protein localized to the cytoplasmic surface of synaptic vesicles. MISCELLANEOUS: Regulated by calcium. Calcium inhibits ATP binding to the C-domain. Also known as: Synapsin 3, Syn3, Synapsin III. |
| Specificity | Appears to be specific for Synapsin-3. |
Application Details
| Application Notes | IHC, WB. A dilution of 1 : 300 to 1 : 2000 is recommended. The optimal dilution should be determined by the end user. |
| Purity | whole serum |
| Storage | Maintain the lyophilised/reconstituted antibodies frozen at -20°C for long term storage and refrigerated at 2-8°C for a shorter term. When reconstituting, glycerol (1:1) may be added for an additional stability. Avoid freeze and thaw cycles. |
