Additional Information

Swiss-Prot P08247
Immunogen A synthetic peptide as a part of human Synaptophysin (SYP) conjugated to an immunogenic carrier protein was used as the immunogen.
Format Lyophilized
Description Synaptophysin (p38) is an integral membrane protein of small synaptic vesicles in brain and endocrine cells. FUNCTION: Possibly involved in structural functions as organizing other membrane components or in targeting the vesicles to the plasma membrane. SUBCELLULAR LOCATION: Cytoplasmic vesicle, secretory vesicle, synaptic vesicle membrane; Multi-pass membrane protein. Also known as: SYP.
Specificity Appears to be specific for Synaptophysin.

Application Details

Application Notes IHC, WB. A dilution of 1 : 300 to 1 : 2000 is recommended. The optimal dilution should be determined by the end user. Not yet tested in other applications.
Purity whole serum
Storage Maintain the lyophilised/reconstituted antibodies frozen at -20°C for long term storage and refrigerated at 2-8°C for a shorter term. When reconstituting, glycerol (1:1) may be added for an additional stability. Avoid freeze and thaw cycles.
Restrictions For Research Use only
